What is the Rehabilitation Code and how can it help you?

The aim of the Rehabilitation Code (“the Code”) is to help the injured person make the quickest possible recovery and help them to return to their pre-accident condition as soon as possible.

The Code provides a framework for the representatives of the injured person and the compensators to work together to achieve the quickest recovery for the injured person.

Although the Code is voluntary, it is specifically mentioned in Pre-Action Protocols that representatives should follow.

Generally, we act for those that have been injured and ensure that we consider the rehabilitation needs of our clients at the outset, usually during the initial telephone conversation or at our first meeting.

For personal injury claims, when submitting the claim to the other party’s insurers we inform the insurers what treatment our client has have already received and what further treatment we consider they will require.

Often the Compensator will agree to fund treatment and our clients are referred to a rehabilitation provider who can then assess their needs.

If the Compensators do not offer the treatment, but an admission of liability has been received, we can then arrange this for our clients.

Our Personal Injury team are experienced in accident claims.  If you or a member of your family has been injured as a result of an accident contact our Personal Injury team today for a telephone conversation or a free, preliminary meeting.
