Liz has been a member of Resolution for most of her career and always considers the code of conduct set out by Resolution when acting for her clients.
Liz prides herself on her pragmatic and empathetic approach to what can be a stressful experience for those involved in a separation.
What is Resolution?
Resolution (previously known as the Solicitors Family Law Association) was founded in 1982 by a group of family lawyers who believed that a non-confrontational approach to family law issues would produce better outcomes for separating families and their children.
Why choose a Resolution Specialist Lawyer?
When couples separate or divorce, or when they have to make decisions about the care of their children, they need the right legal advice, delivered with care, sensitivity and compassion. A Resolution Specialist Lawyer knows that when people are dealing with family separation and change, it’s about much more than just the law.
A Resolution Specialist Lawyer will deal with what you need to sort out in a way that limits or prevents conflict and distress and helps you move forward, confident that you have reached an outcome that works for you and your family.
They will have the expertise and experience to deal with your matter effectively and efficiently, which may be more cost-effective.
If you choose a Resolution Accredited Specialist, you will be safe in the knowledge that he or she has the right level of expertise to deal with your case.
How can a Resolution Specialist Lawyer help you?
Because all Resolution members commit to following a strict Code of Practice, it means they will work with you, and others, to reduce the emotional and financial impact of a separation or divorce. They strive to help you find the best way to resolve things for you and your family.
Resolution Accredited Specialists are members who have chosen to test their skills and expertise through a rigorous assessment of their knowledge, appliance of the relevant law and the way that they work with you and other people involved in your case.
What can you expect from dealing with a Resolution Specialist Lawyer?
Dealing with separation and divorce is difficult. Emotions are often high and even if two people agree, change can be overwhelming and stressful.
Resolution members believe the process of separating, sorting out finances, and childcare can and should be done in a way that minimises conflict and keeps the best interests of any children at the heart of the matter.
Resolution is an organisation of lawyers and other family justice professionals who are committed to following a non-confrontational and constructive approach to resolving family issues. The Resolution Code of Practice promotes a constructive approach to family issues and considers the needs of the whole family, in particular the best interests of children.
This means you can expect a Resolution member to:
- Listen to you, be honest with you and treat you with respect.
- Explain all the options and give you the confidence to make the right decisions.
- Help you focus on what’s important in the long term.
- Help you balance financial and emotional costs with what you want to achieve.
- Work with others to find the right approach and the best solutions for you.
- Manage stress in what can be an already stressful situation.
