Working in a small, dedicated specialist team, Howell Jones are looking for someone to join the team tasked with accelerating and streamlining the client onboarding process. This role drives forward our commitment to clarity in its processes and communication internally and externally.

responsibilities.

  • You’ll get responsibility early on and the support and training to make things happen.
  • You will work effectively to support lawyers and clients through all aspects of the Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) requirements, as well as dealing with client and matter set-up and due diligence procedures, including conflict checking.
  • You must be able to build and maintain trusted relationships, be pragmatic, show confidence and communicate clearly and precisely.
  • You will be confident speaking with lawyers and team members, understanding and anticipating business needs and demands and proactively delivering solutions.
  • You must be able to manage a busy caseload, as well as deliver on ad hoc, urgent requests from the business.
  • You will be monitoring, analysing and reporting on compliance with internal and regulatory procedures.
  • You will be able to identify potential risks and deficiencies and escalate appropriately.
  • Energy and motivation is a must to ensure the continual development of the end-to-end client experience.

skills and experience required.

  • Advanced Word/Excel skills.
  • Case management/Database management experience.
  • Prior knowledge of KYC/AML regulations.
  • Ability to analyse and understand complex client onboarding tools and systems.
  • Great eye for detail and ability to explain data outputs.
  • Enhanced written and oral communication, with an ability to influence, support and guide people through complex processes.
  • Strong, logical prioritisation and organisational skills.
  • Strong client focus and ability to partner with internal and external groups.
  • Strong team-working approach to build a dynamic and efficient team.
